Staff Recognition Week is a week in mid-May where the University of Missouri highlights, celebrates, and congratulates staff across campus for their hard work, accomplishments, and dedication our our community. This week holds professional and personal development opportunities, an award ceremony, a free luncheon, and many other exciting events for staff at MU. We hope to see you there!

Join us on the sidewalks surrounding the Student Center before or after you visit the free Staff Lunch. There will be information tables from campus groups and organizations, prizes, and giveaways for staff members.

Come join us for a free lunch in staff member’s honor. We will be serving grilled chicken, pork tenderloin, Beyond Meat burgers, sides, and dessert.

At the Staff Recognition Week Award Ceremony, we will honor outstanding staff members who have won Staff Recognition Week awards, and we celebrate staff members celebrating milestone anniversaries.
Floral Design Class with Tiger Garden
Tues., May 21 | 6-7 p.m. | Zoom
Must pre-register by May 10th to participate.
Tiger Gardens staff will lead a virtual floral design class for MU and UM System staff members (registration required). Tiger Gardens staff will teach participants how to create a centerpiece-style bouquet and give tips and tricks on shape and depth. Participants will receive a Zoom link and shopping list ahead of the event and will be entered to win door prizes.
5k Walk/Run
Due Fri., May 24 | Virtual
Walk or run your way to 5K anytime during Staff Recognition Week. You can track your progress with a free digital application, such as “MapMyWalk.” Submit a photo/screenshot of your completed 5k here (link will be active starting 8 a.m. on Saturday, May 18 through 11:59 p.m. Friday, May 24). Participants will be entered to win door prizes.
Staff Development Sessions
In partnership with the Office of Human Resources, there will be virtual professional & personal development seminars offered throughout the week. Registration will open in Percipio, and once available, a full list of sessions can be found on the Human Resources website here.

How well to you know all eight regions of Missouri? Guess the landmark- bonus point if you name the county it’s located in! The survey will be available Monday, May 20 – Thursday, May 23.
Staff Talent Virtual Showcase
Check out all the talented staff across campus in our online video presentation, which will be available to be viewed beginning May 20. The video will also be shown on screens during the Staff Lunch in the MU Student Center.
